Founder of The Funky Horns Studio is Matthijs Sepers, a musician with passion for music in all styles.  'Diversity' and 'allround' are characteristic for Matthijs, as well as for the music styles he is familiar with as the instruments he plays.

Matthijs' main instrument is the trumpet and related instruments (flügelhorn, cornet, valve trombone, mellowphone). Next to that he plays the piano/rhodes and (bass)guitar.
As a trumpet player and horn section leader Matthijs has worked with a.o. 4lux recordings, Holland Spoor Studio's, Prat's The Whoblem, Dudes Doo Dance, Hermes House Band, Blues Rock & Soul Review, Boogie Delight, Twilight Zoon, The Autoreverse Jazz Orchestra, Rhythm Construction, Saskia Laroo, Rik van der Vlist, Bobby Pax, Pano Roseel, Ray Bruinsma, Sven Figee, Henk Brüggemann, Peter Kennedy, Roland 'Bolle' Dirkse, Rick Roomer, Oscar Kraal, Wouter Kiers, Ruud de Vries, Cyrille Oswald, Bobby Jacobs, Mark Bien, Arno Krijger, Leon Zautsen, Orlando Milan, Frank van den Bold en vele anderen...

Besides that he developed his skills as producer and recording engineer.

Last but not least as band leader Matthijs organizes band projects and jam-sessions (a.o. Triple-Seven, The James Brown Tribute Band, Muziekcafé de Pater, Jamcollectief, The BackBeats, The Autoreverse Jazz Orchestra, ....).
